Location: US:WI:MANITOWOC at our HFM MEDICAL CENTER facility.

This job is ON - SITE.

FTE: 0.900000

Shift: Shift 1

This position offers a $10k sign on bonus, with a 2 year commitment.

Job Summary:

Plans, organizes, coordinates and provides direct nursing care for an identified group of patients according to specific standards.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrates ability to correctly perform head to toe physical assessment. Completes admission data base per policy. Performs and documents routine assessments per policy Initiates, reviews, and updates plan of care. Collaborates with other health team members in the care of the patient and/or family. Participates in discharge/transfer planning. Documents accurately, timely, and completely - avoids unacceptable abbreviations and uses proper format when taking verbal orders and when signing off. Understands and utilizes hospital and unit specific policies including the Wisconsin Nurse practice Act in delivering safe patient care orders. Aware of and adheres to patient safety standards. Evaluates effectiveness of plan of care Communicates unmet needs or undesired effects of treatment to physician. Consistently demonstrates ability to effectively manage patients with acute and chronic diseases. Consistently demonstrates knowledge and skills while performing Point Of Care Testing (POCT) including QA, performance of individual tests, and documentation of results into the EHR Always demonstrates ability to care for patients receiving conscious sedation. Conscientiously care for patients receiving conscious sedation and responds appropriately to changes in vital signs and verbal response of patient. Consistently provides safe patient positioning and transferring of patients as instructed in the perioperative record.

Surgery Center/Special Procedures -- Prefer two years' experience in Med/Surg and/or Ortho nursing. Surgical Services: Prefer two to three years' experience in Surgical/Ortho and/or Operating Room nursing. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required, and current unrestricted Wisconsin RN license required. Excellent customer service, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills required. CPR certification required.
