ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Coordinate clinical assessment and insurance benefit authorizations that are necessary preconditions for qualifying patients both medically and financially for final appointment confirmation.
Communicate with patient or patient's caregiver before or after admission to exchange necessary information and documentation. Provides explanation of process and addresses concerns and questions.
Ensures that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy. Identifies patients who qualify for alternative financing options and assists with any necessary arrangements.
Communicates with admitting physician's office, nursing unit staff, and/or other appropriate personnel regarding admission to exchange necessary information and determine placement. Work interdepartmentally in providing critical support toward maximizing upfront collections and patient throughput while minimizing patient delays, rescheduling, and cancelations.

Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum EducationHigh School Diploma or GED Preferred
Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Schedule Per Diem/PRN
Work Schedule PRN - rotate weekends, various shifts
