Responsible for screening, assessing, prioritizing, and providing the nutrition care plan for patients and families, which may be specific to a disease entity but which also encompasses the entire continuum of care - hospital, clinic, and the community.

Minimum Requirements

  • Registration with the Commission of Dietetics Registration is required. Registry-eligible acceptable with registration required within 90 days of hire.

  • Certification as Dietitian with the State of Wisconsin (applied for upon hire)

  • Provides weekend and holiday coverage based on primary work area.

Education

Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Job Requirements

Previous experience in clinical nutrition and/or with a pediatric population.

Previous experience with an electronic medical record.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children's values and support our mission and vision.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively gather and share information with physicians; counsel and instruct families; participate in a multi-disciplinary team in provision of nutritional care; and provide effective coaching to team members.

  • Ability to independently assess patients and their conditions; interpret available data; and evaluate recommendations, outcomes, and patient/family comprehension.

This position will work in GI and in our feeding program. It is located at our Milwaukee Main Campus four days/week.

This role will work eight hour shifts four days/week, with Thursdays being the off day each week.
