Job Description
Electrician -Beginner/Apprentice

Department: Field
Job Status: Full Time
Reports to: Project Manager / General Field Superintendent

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function below. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Essential Functions
  • Installs, maintains, and/or troubleshoots electrical systems in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC)
  • Demonstrates ability to work without direct supervision
  • Installs conduit systems, various lighting systems, and control systems
  • Installs motor feeders and makes standard motor connections
  • Cleans and maintains job site, tools, and vehicles
  • Consistently follows workplace safety procedures
  • Participates in toolbox talks, safety audits, and related safety functions
  • Immediately identifies, corrects, and/or reports any unsafe acts, conditions, or incidents in a timely manner
  • Works as a member of a cohesive team
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Education and Experience: A high school diploma or GED; and completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent work experience

Computer Skills: General computer skills preferred.

Certificates and Licenses:  Must possess a Wisconsin Registered Electrician License prior to beginning employment or already have a Wisconsin Apprentice License

Training: Current First Aid/CPR and Osha 10-Hour trainings are required in order to perform this job.

Physical Demands: The employee will be required to lift and/ or carry up to 100 lbs during the course of a work day.

Work Environment: Work is performed primarily in indoor and outdoor settings with regular exposure to cold, heat, direct sun light, dirt, hazardous electrical / specialty systems equipment and wiring, and underground and elevated heights.
