Schedule: Full Time, Monday- Friday, 8a to 430p, No Holidays, No Weekends, No On Call

Shift: Shift 1

Our Neurodiagnostic team are cross trained in multiple modalities to best support the department and help us remain at the forefront of innovative care.

Job Summary:
Under supervision of the Neuro diagnostic (ND) Tech Educator or ND Coordinator, assists in the development of and training in the educational department standards of care. Additionally, performs a wide variety of advanced neuro diagnostic studies to include Electroencephalography (EEG), Electromyography (EMG), long-term and intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction velocities, autonomic testing, neuro interventional radiology (WADA) and positron emission tomography (PET) including diagnostic and investigative studies in the laboratory, at the bedside, and in critical care units, and in the operating room on all ages of patients served by the department. Other duties include but are not limited to charge capture, scheduling patients. May be required to float to other sites to ensure optimal department operations. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 3+ years of experience is preferred. Ability to perform Electroencephalography (EEG), in addition to 2 or more of the following Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing (EMG/NCV), Autonomics, Long Term Monitoring, Evoked Potentials and Magnetoencephalography.

Must be registered in EMG (R. NCS.T) Experience a minimum of 5 years in EMG all limbs all fibers.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

High School diploma or equivalent is required. 3+ years of proven experience as a Neurodiagnostic Technician is preferred with the proven ability to perform Electroencephalography (EEG), in addition to 2 or more of the following; Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing (EMG/NCV), Autonomics, Long Term Monitoring, Evoked Potentials or Magnetoencephalography and/or be a graduate of an accredited Neuro diagnostic Technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) See licensure requirements.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

It is preferred to have 2 registries from ABRET (American Board of Registration of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist) in any of the following: Registered Electroencephalography (EEG) Technologist, Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing (EMG/NCV), Certified Autonomic Professional (CAP), Certified Long Term Monitoring Technologist (CLTM), Registered Evoked Potential Technologist. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days.
