Job Description

As part of the High Performance Organization (HPO) you will manage the Product Lifecycle Management function.

  • The HPO is focused on how we define, develop, support, and deliver value to our businesses and improve our capabilities/ processes and tools and impact Throughput, Quality and Predictability of our product development teams.
  • Our philosophy, practice, and tools are rooted in continuous improvement and transformational change management practices.
  • The product lifecycle refers to the progression of a product through its typical 4 stages (introduction, growth, stabilization, and decline) as well as more complex processes that occur within these stages such as inception, design, engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing and distribution.
  • PLM is what helps to manage that lifecycle by aligning people, data, processes, and technology to seamlessly bring the product to market.
  • The Senior Manager, PLM, will be focusing on 3 areas, HPO PLM Strategic Leader, Enterprise PLM Product Owner, and Functional Manager of HPO PLM.
  • As a HPO PLM Strategic Leader you will coordinate with Industry partners, Subject Matter Experts and various stakeholders to identify value creation, gather requirements, and define the road map and implementation plan for Product Lifecycle Management systems (Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, Simulation, Model based product development)*
  • As an Enterprise PLM Product Owner you will develop and effectively manage a prioritized backlog, empowering effective Agile planning, execution, review with the IT development teamfor SAP PLM functionality and Enterprise Design Application Services (DAS).
  • As a Functional Manager of HPO PLM you will continue to evolve the PLM department to be a function which enables enterprise quality & productivity and build a team with the right talent to best meet the needs in areas of program deployment, data integrity, collaboration with IT, readiness across BUs and ISC.*
  • You will develop an annual operating financial plan for the PLM space (including but not limited to Windchill, CAD, Simulation, Licenses, Partners, IT, etc.) and monitor progress to forecast and adjust plans as the year evolves.
  • Enable & deliver status updates on key programs to stakeholders with recommendations and risk mitigation ideas.
  • You will work from our Milwaukee, Mequon, or Mayfield office in a hybrid environment. You will report to the Director, Business Process and Tools.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to travel 5% of the time
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering, with MS-Engineering, MBA
  • 8+ years of experience in Engineering, preferably with experience in hardware product development, Product Lifecycle management and enterprise ERP deployment*
  • In-depth experience with PLM and Engineering transformation and process redesign methods*
  • Knowledge in all aspects of designing and constructing end-to-end hardware product development business processes, functions and organizational structures.*
  • Demonstrated history of establishing a strong rapport and trusted advisory relationship with senior management.*
  • Demonstrated breadth and in-depth knowledge as program manager (PMP), Safe Agilist, including product owner role and agile project delivery methodologies.*
  • 5+ years of experience managing product life cycle/PLM system type projects*
  • 3+ years experience integrating, configuring and managing PLM software*
  • Ability to navigate and utilize the capabilities of PLM software, CAD and Engineering Simulation applications.*
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.*
  • Strong relationship skills and ability to collaborate effectively with various functional groups and peer business units across geographies.
