As our Sr. Director of Sales for our Watercraft and Camping businesses, you'll be responsible for accelerating sales growth across all sales channels including ecommerce - furthering our mission of getting more people outside to engage with the amazing awe of the great outdoors again and again.

Reporting directly to the Business Group Vice President, you will play a key role as part of the Senior Leadership Team, collaborating with Marketing, Operations and Finance to create the strategy and ensure alignment to achieve the growth goals of both businesses. You will create a culture of success, driving revenue and growth, and inspiring and developing your sales team to unlock their full potential.

What you will be doing:

  • You'll establish our sales organization as a "best in class" partner within the industry and with customers while achieving superior market penetration and merchandising compliance. You'll lead, train, develop and motivate Sales personnel internally and externally. You'll proactively facilitate development of effective and efficient plans/programs that achieve corporate and brand goals.
  • You'll be our brand advocate, internally working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the "voice of the customer" is appropriately reflected in strategic and operational plans and programs; and externally ensuring that plans are successfully implemented within the market.
  • You'll be the driver of plan accountability, responsible for the development and achievement the annual sales and profit plan. You'll provide regular sales updates to senior leadership and create and present plans to drive business as required, demonstrating appropriate financial acumen to support recommendations to senior leadership.
  • You'll develop the market, promoting company brands and products and assuming senior level engagement with Rep groups and key direct accounts to ensure business focus and accountability. You'll maintain the operating budgets for accounts to ensure funds are optimized, and proactively perform post-event analyses, consistent with ROI guidelines.
  • Customers will value your expertise. You'll be the person they remember and want to see again and again. You'll effectively listen to customers/prospects, identify business needs, and provide education on products, product features and how our products would benefit their business.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or equivalent
  • 10 years of progressive experience as a consumer products sales leader
  • A combination of larger company and outdoor recreation industry sales leadership experience strongly preferred
  • A start-up mentality: resourceful, ambitious, agile, willing to roll sleeves up and work hands-on
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to successfully influence others, lead work teams, set strategic direction and drive strategy into action
  • Proven track record in sales and exceeding targets using data analytics, business planning tools and results-orientated approach
  • Strong understanding and experience using category management principles to achieve goals
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communicator and presenter; experience with all levels throughout an organization as well as with external partners and customers
  • Significant domestic travel and some international travel required
  • Comfortable working in a lean and fast-paced environment
