Job Description

Summary

  • Position Summary
    • Supports press operations by performing finish bindery tasks; operating bindery equipment; maintaining inventories, logs, and files; performing minor maintenance; and receiving materials. Support production of approximately 1,000 printing orders per month from Print Shop and outside vendors to MMC and affiliates.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Post-high school technical training. Knowledge of operating skills necessary to run bindery equipment used in print production at a level acquired through post high school technical training and five years of related experience.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: 5 years' bindery experience operating equipment similar to current MMC Print Shop equipment
    • Knowledge of operating skills necessary to run bindery equipment used in print production at a level acquired through post high school technical training and five years of related experience.
    • Knowledge of printing terms and processes used to produce printed pieces in order to facilitate bindery functions.
    • Fundamental computer skills required to operate Access, Word, and Excel pertinent to monitoring tracking of job production, form and stock inventory control, and order management.
    • Ability to read and write, measure, and execute arithmetic computations in order to perform necessary finish bindery functions with a high level of accuracy to ensure quality control.
