Position Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist in the provision of Pharmaceutical care. Care will correspond to patients' unique medical needs, and will be appropriate to the patients age- newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, or geriatric. In accord with Department and institutional policies/procedure and with the rules/regulations enacted by the State Board of Pharmacy, they will support the Department's logistic, clinical, technical and clerical functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent, PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification within 1 year of hire or actively pursuing certification (as determined by pharmacy management- not to exceed an additional 6 months) or Licensed Practical Nurse. Ordinary typing skills and computer data entry, written and oral communication skills.
