Job Description
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Master Scheduler functions as the main hub that must effectively manage many cross-functional communication points of contact for productive outcomes. The Master Scheduler will develop and share knowledge about how to leverage M1/ERP system capabilities and other technologies to drive continuous improvement. The Master Scheduler provides planning administration including scheduling, budgeting, performance monitoring, analysis, reporting, personnel planning, resource management and capacity planning, and other administrative duties as assigned.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs ERP transactions on bills of material, sales orders, shipping and trouble shoots logic conflicts Focal point for coordination of new and revised Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) with all stakeholders Create a production master program that meets customer demand with inventory levels and optimal resource utilization Work with contract, program, marketing, finance, and manufacturing staff to better understand competitive turnaround times for products and to look for ways to reduce internal turnaround times turnaround times with customers Maintain various data in the ERP system, including lead times, batch sizes, safety stocks, performance factors Evaluate schedule for company commensurate to Earned Value Management practices company policies applications Review finished goods inventory at target levels to ensure high service levels with expected product availability while managing inventory costs Monitor actual output vs the master production plan Monitor trends and/or shifts in demand that could impact master schedule and develop recovery plans Determine and control the entry, modification (if required) and release of all P.O.’s to support the master schedule any unplanned customer requirements.

MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively participate in Sales & Operations Planning, helping leaders to align Operations activities with strategic objectives, also set priorities and drive to consensus when demand outstrips capacity Recognize marketplace requirements and create an environment in which the use of effective scheduling logic simultaneously produces realistic master schedules and customer satisfaction

Education:
Combination of post-secondary education, preferably in business, operations management, supply chain management, engineering, or technology.

Experience:
BA or BS degree Additional Qualifications Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) Diploma of undergraduate studies (Bachelor degree) or the equivalent with experience Minimum of (5) years of varied experience in manufacturing, planning, resource leveling and minimum of (2) years in a master planner position Extensive knowledge of manufacturing practices and ERP system (M1 an asset) APICS Certification (CPIM and / or CSCP)

Other:
Must have good interpersonal skills to deal with customers and collaborate with other departments. Excellent customer service skills to deal politely and effectively with customer inquiries or complaints. Bilingual ability preferred (English/Spanish).
