We are currently recruiting for Direct Hire Process Technician Roles located in Franklin, WI

$25.00-$30.00/hr - Submit expectations

Are you mechanically inclined? Do you have prior machine maintenance, programming or set-up experience? Entry level talent here is welcome!!! Any interested candidate will need to take a 45 minute assessment regarding their mechanical aptitude upon interview.

Franklin Openings: 1st shift 7a-3pm Monday-Friday, 2nd shift 2:45pm - 1:15am, Tuesday - Friday OT Available, 3rd shift 11pm-7am Sunday-Thursday

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Process Technician/Lead is primarily responsible to respond, troubleshoot and perform routine repair work on manufacturing equipment in a timely manner. Additionally, this position will perform some of the duties of a Lead person while working closely with the production operators.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Perform molding machine set-ups from mold installation thru producing an acceptable product
  • Primary contact for troubleshooting of molding process/equipment problems
  • Support the running of molding jobs thru material changes and equipment maintenance, ie; filters, mixers, etc.
  • Perform daily production mold cleanings, plastic media blast and/or solvent cleaning
  • Start machines after mold or material changes and shut down as necessary
  • Verify Line Clearance
  • Convey unused tooling to the proper storage locations
  • Deliver unused material handling equipment to the solvent cleaning room
  • Run acceptable first shots
  • Mold Test slabs and pucks
  • Give feedback to Molding Department Supervisor on performance of operators including completing performance evaluations
  • Signoffs on Routers and Post Cure Verifications
  • Schedule and reassign operators as required for maintaining the effectiveness of the department
  • Maintain process parameters within specified limits.
  • Assist in developing process capability changes to improve quality and reduce scrap and make recommendations, as necessary.
  • Follow IATF16949 work instructions and procedures, as well as completing documentation.

 

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency, required.
  • Preferred, 3 +years’ experience as a Technician with demonstrated troubleshooting skills, mechanical skills and basic computer skills, along with knowledge of SPC principles.
  • In lieu of experience, a candidate enrolled in a plastic or silicone molding degree program may be considered.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs. and stand/walk for up to 12 hours and visually inspect the product for quality.
  • A complete set of personal hand tools with the ability to work daily overtime and weekend overtime is required.
