What you will do:
Sets up & breaks down area for RN, within the scope of role, utilizing knowledge of sterile technique.
Triages incoming calls related to requests for services and then speaks with RN to prioritize cases.
Promotes continuity of care by ensuring adherence to Vascular Access Guidelines and alerting leadership of any deviations.
Provides support in light housekeeping, rearranging room to accommodate Ultrasound machine and vital equipment.
Manages supply levels and equipment by completing routine inventory and re-ordering necessary supplies.
Assembles insertion kits for RNs to use when placing their intravenous devices.
Monitors charges on a daily basis.
What you will need:
High School Diploma or GED
Current CPR certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize multiple and varied tasks at one time, ability to receive and follow through on directions
Required to attend in depth orientation regarding patient care skill tasks
Preferred:
Minimum of six months of previous healthcare experience or completion of one nursing clinical rotation or successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Phlebotomy certification
