Position Summary:
Manages various phases of the patient encounter: timely and accurate patient registration, appointment scheduling, check-in, check-out and collection of payments as well as general medical receptionist responsibilities.
Serves as liaison between patient an medical support staff and performs patient care activities that include clinical and lab-related tasks under the guidance of a physician or mid-level provider.
Essential Functions:
- Performs receptionist and registration duties for the office
- Performs clinical and patient care duties for the office
Reports to: Office Manager
High school diploma or equivalent - Required
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days
CMA Certification required within 6 months of hire.
