We are seeking to fill an Intern - Quality Engineering role for Summer 2024 at our Orange (Culpeper), VA site.
Summer internships will start in approximately May/June and end in August/September.

Our site near Culpeper, VA, in beautiful, rural Orange County (1.5 hours from Washington, DC) is growing! This site is Aerojet Rocketdyne's center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high-complexity production programs.

This internship will familiarize the candidate with the manufacturing floor making the connection between design requirements and manufacturing capability.
The intern will support senior engineering staff and gain experience and familiarization with company quality practices, manufacturing, and programs. Tasks will vary but may include assisting technical staff in providing adequate methods to meet quality requirements, providing root cause and corrective actions, meeting delivery and performance targets, and supporting engineers in the design and development of products and processes to improve production.
Candidate must be currently enrolled in a B.S. degree program or higher in Industrial Technology, Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering, or General Engineering. Will consider other majors such as Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar. Must be returning to school upon completion of the assignment.
Preferred Qualifications
3.2 GPA or above
Junior standing or above
Solid academic track record of accomplishment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Software applications
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Self-starter with the ability to work with little direction
Leadership & teamwork skills
