Maintenance Technician

Job Purpose:

Primary purpose of this job is to maintain, repair and improve machinery throughout the factory. Successful applicant will have a strong skill set in automation. Must have the ability to detect minor problems, correct them or eliminate them before they become major issues.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates, dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
  • Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts
  • Performs all repairs of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical parts for SMT and other Robotic assembly equipment
  • Repairs all support equipment including conveyors and soldering robotics
  • Troubleshoots issues in work cells containing as many as 5 integrated machines
  • Created spare parts lists and preventive maintenance procedures
  • Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment
  • Performs general building maintenance and other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's Degree / 2 year Technical Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2-4 years experience working with SMT and other robotic assembly equipment
  • Ability to work in both team environment and able to be self directed
  • Ability to work well with other members of the technical and production staffs
  • Results and Quality Oriented
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical literature
  • Ability to read and comprehend schematics and technical instructions
  • Ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non technical personnel
