Position Overview

Primary role of the Product Manager (PM) is to develop and execute product line strategies associated with the ACME/Powerohm Brands. PM must be able to think strategically and develop new markets and product opportunities. The PM role communicates with end users, rep agents, regional managers, customer partners, internal departments, and VP's. The PM is responsible for pricing/margin activities and will work directly with the Sales Team to exceed profitability and revenue objectives for the assigned product line.

Duties and Responsibilities

* PM will execute product line strategy and marketing activities
* Supervise pricing drive profitability and sales goals
* Execute and manage the NPD process and product life cycle of existing products
* Guide/lead the Digital Resource Team to keep the website up to date as well as print catalog associated with assigned brand
* Assist customers and Hubbell team in the cross referencing of competitor products when needed
* Interfacing with customers in problem solving and responding to product application inquires
* Support business team in the development of Power Point presentations to successfully capture new business
* Work closely with Sales Team to develop and manage channel and partner strategies and programs
* Oversee all product marketing including product launch management, sales training, presentations, sales tools, competitive analysis, and general sales support
* Identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development
* PM will work closely with operations team to achieve assigned service, inventory, and quality objectives and will work closely with them to ensure industry leading service levels are maintained in all channels
* PM is responsible for overall cost and margin enhancement of assigned product line

Skills and Experience

* Must be able to think analytically and poses sharp problem-solving skills
* Must have a strong understanding of financial statements and be able to effectively interpret a P&L statement
* 5 to 10 years of experience in Product Manager roles within the electrical industry or similar industry preferred

* Must be comfortable with speaking to customers and engaging large groups
* PC skills require working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel programs
* Ability to travel 30%
* Self-starter, able to adapt in fast paced environment, and be capable of managing multiple projects at once

Education
Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Engineering General
