Company Overview
Hayes Performance Systems is located in Mequon, Wisconsin, only about a 20 minute drive from the city of Milwaukee. Here, we make brakes/ calipers and master cylinders for various different types of vehicles such as Motorcycles, ATV, UTV, Oshkosh Defense, Agriculture, Snowmobiles, we also have our own Bike division where we make more than just brakes for the bicycles. We also make the forks, wheel bearings, spokes and everything besides the frame itself.
General Summary: This position will be reporting directly to the Electrical Engineering Manager. We also offer benefits, paid vacation and holidays upon full-time hire. We have very flexible hours and schedules can easily be accommodated to the need of the student. This can either be an Internship, Co-Op opportunity or a part time job during the school year and full time in the summer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assemble electrical, pneumatic, vacuum and mechanical systems
  • Design, code, test, and debug machine control and data acquisition programs in National Instruments LabView and various ladder language dialects
  • Troubleshoot electro-mechanical, hydraulic, software, and network problems
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Follow all established ISO/Quality procedures
  • Performs related duties as assigned or as situation dictates
Key Skills
  • Knowledge of electronic, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic physical principles
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD modeling and 2D technical graphics
  • proficiency in PC software applications (MS Office)
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and delegate work in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to communicate, write, and train in group or individual situations
  • Shop safety, and the use of hand and power tools
