Position Summary: The Engineering Department is looking for laboratory assistants to help set-up and prepare classes for the Engineering Technology programs.

Typical Essential Duties

• Procures and maintains stock of specialized items utilized in the department facilities.
• Performs laboratory set up for faculty
• Maintains clean, orderly and well supplied prep room and classroom
• May assist faculty in the lab or classroom when available
• Provide copies of course material for instructors
• Assemble items needed for instruction in the classroom.
• Performs related duties as required

Educational Requirements: Current degree seeking students to maintain six credit hours in your current program. Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Experience Requirements: Must have taken at least one course toward their field of study. Familiar with lab procedures and lab safety. Dependable and able to work independently after training. Applicant must be at least 18 years old.

Desired Work Schedule: Flexible; Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 10:00pm. 10-12 hours per week.

Skills: Attention to detail, good organization, and good communication skills preferred.

Physical Requirements: Working in a lab can require standing or walking on your feet for extended periods of time.
