Lake Cumberland Surgery Center
Description
Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Assesses operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtain supplies for individual cases, and ensures all appropriate needs of operating team are met. Participates in departmental staff meetings, quality assurance and performance activities.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Certifications
1. Current Operating Room Technician Certification.
2. Current American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtained within 90 days after hire date.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Language Skills
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Minimum Work Experience
* Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in the Operating Room preferred.
Job OR Support Staff
Primary Location Kentucky-Somerset
Schedule Per Diem/PRN
Work Schedule PRN - rotate weekends, various shifts
