Job Description

INSPECTOR

Must be strong from an administrative standpoint

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform incoming inspection of raw materials and components
  • Complete dimensional checks and report on product.
  • In-process inspections of manufactured product during manufacturing & prior to shipping.
  • Cross checks of product at each stage of operations to prints/drawings, quality work instructions, control plan and visual criteria.
  • Communicate quality issues to appropriate personnel and with shift leaders in a timely manner.
  • Issue gages to employees and ensure gauges are calibrated and properly identified.
  • Trains Operators on proper uses of gages and quality documents
  • Verify operators perform required quality checks and ensure results are recorded in the kiosk software system.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
  • 1 – 2 years of experience in a related Quality function.
  • Experience auditing and inspection of production parts and processes preferred
  • The individual must have a solid understanding of metal fabrication concepts and processes.
  • The individual can read calipers, micrometers, blueprints, and can do basic proficient shop math.
  • Must have strong MS Excel skills 
  • Must have attention to detail and be self-directed to accommodate the department needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Pre-employment drug screen and physical is required.
