Position Summary:

Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Minimum Experience: None required.

Certification/Licensure: New Hires: Certified as a nursing assistant; or documented completion of Medical / Surgical semester from an accredited nursing program with a B average or better; or licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); or military medic (91B20). Current CPR certification required. To maintain employment current CPR is required.

For New hires: BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. If currently certified, must maintain current certification.

Patient Care Tech will be required to take and pass Memorial Medical Center's Patient Care Tech course within 90 days of hire.

Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
