Position Description:

Purpose

Under supervision of program manager, provide administrative and data collection support of clinical research studies in the Emergency Department at Froedtert Hospital.

Shifts Open:
  • Schedule Option 1

    Saturday & Sunday: 8-4:30

    Monday - Wednesday: 3:30pm-12am

  • Schedule Option 2

    Wednesday: 12pm-8:30pm

Thursday - Sunday: 3:30pm-12am

Primary Functions
  • Collect required data and enter into clinical research forms and into computerized databases
  • Under the direction of the individual study coordinator or principal investigator, assist in enrolling patients in clinical, educational, and social intervention research studies
  • Screen, identify, enroll, and obtain consent from program participants.
  • Collect samples from patients as needed. Process and transport samples as directed.
  • Working collaboratively with other departments.
  • Identify quality assurance and quality improvement measures through ongoing review of data collection tools, study protocols, and other study documents and communicate issues/improvements with study coordinators, principal investigators, and direct supervisor
  • Assist program manager with training and on boarding new clinical research assistants including the development and implementation of new training protocols.
  • Assure compliance with all relevant IRB and other regulatory agency requirements.
  • Collaborate on the development of program materials including educational materials, marketing materials, forms, and reports
  • Maintain program timeline including tracking deadlines for program components
  • Compile study enrollment packets
  • Generate letters to be sent to study participants


Preferred Schedule:
M-F with weekends as necessary (all shisfts from 8am-12am


Position Requirements:

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities

Knowledge of quality control, customer service standards, information management, procedural process, data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, and recordkeeping. Computer, technical, interpersonal, oral communication, listening, and patience skills.

Specifications

Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis

Minimum Required Education: High school or equivalent.

Minimum Required Experience: 3 years professional experience

Preferred Education: Bachelors degree in science or related field

Preferred Experience: 1 year of research experience

Certification: CITI Training within 90 days of hire
