Responsibilities
Norton Children's Autism Center, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, and a part of Norton Children's Medical Group provides diagnostic services and care for those with Autism Spectrum disorder (ASD). It is a multidisciplinary center that provides diagnostic and other ASD related assessments, consultations, short term group/ individual therapy in addition to ongoing medical care. The team is composed of pediatric psychology, speech language therapy, occupational therapy, psychiatry, advanced practice providers and neurology and work collaboratively to deliver evidence-based, family-centered, community-responsive diagnostic, therapeutic and medical services to children with developmental needs related to ASD. The team works closely with other specialists from the Norton Children's Development Center as well as providers in the community to provide seamless care for children and families with ASD.
The selected candidate will join six other pediatric psychologists in evaluating children for autism spectrum disorder, provide short term therapy services /consultations to those with ASD and their families, and collaborate with the team to enhance and build our service lines. Opportunities are available to participate in training and supervision of graduate students, residents, as well as ongoing academic and research projects being conducted at the center.
Qualifications
- One year as a clinical psychologist
- Doctorate Degree Psychology
- Licensed Psychologist (KY)
