Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals as well as other medications to patients and performs the diagnostic study per physician orders. Performs a variety of technical diagnostic examinations associated with the operation of imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of designated portions of the body. Observes all regulations concerning radiation protection of patients and staff.
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology required.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including week-ends and holidays to insure appropriateness and continuity of care for the patients of Sovah Health Danville.
Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) X American Heart Association (AHA) required. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required
