We are seeking a Proposal Manager to join our dynamic fast-paced Proposal Center of Excellence team located at our Corporate Headquarters in McLean, VA.
Responsibilities:
  • For identified opportunities lead proposal meetings, development of win themes, management of schedules, action/issue tracking, compliance oversight, writing instructions, team guidance and coordination, and production oversight.
  • Write, review, and organize all technical written materials including key sections, tables, exhibits, and attachments, providing graphic/layout assistance to help ensure that a quality deliverable is produced.
  • Assist with the creation of corporate collateral materials, presentations, capability statements, responses to Sources Sought and RFIs, etc.
  • Provide tactical and administrative proposal support including, drafting schedules; scheduling meetings; wall management; tracking the completion of action/issues items and writing assignments
  • Prioritize, multi-task and function effectively under multiple deadlines and time constraints
  • Manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • SharePoint site administration and training, document and configuration management of proposals, and enforcement of version control mechanisms
  • Establish the electronic file structure and procedures for proposal materials on the team site
  • Establish and document electronic proposal file access and tracking protocols for ensuring the security and integrity of all proposal documentation
  • Create and manage a graphics log and maintain real-time development status of all proposal text and graphics
  • Coordinate the internal flow and review of all proposal inputs and outputs
  • Coordinate the daily operations of partners, Graphic Specialists, etc.
  • Perform desktop publishing and proofread pursuits
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, or relevant work experience in lieu of degree
  • 1+ years of professional experience working as a Proposal Manager for a Federal Government Contractor
  • Proficiency in MS Word, SharePoint, Excel, and other MS Office 365 applications
  • Understanding of Desktop publishing concepts, including working with Word templates and styles is strongly desired
  • Ability to work in a demanding, deadline driven environment
  • Interpersonal communication skills essential to working within geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary, cross-cultural teams of professionals to drive tasks to closure
  • Strong communication skills required (written and verbal)
  • High attention-to-detail
  • Ability to manage projects under tight deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task; organize and prioritize multiple ongoing projects
  • Ability to safeguard sensitive information
  • Ability to adapt easily in a growing and developing environment
  • On-call, as needed, to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong work ethic and desire to excel and keep growing over time
Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:
  • Demonstrated success writing technical, past performance, management, staffing, and other narrative sections
  • Comfortable analyzing and extracting requirements from Federal Government RFPs
  • Ability to organize information throughout the proposal life cycle
