Job Description
The Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department of the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) invites applications for part-time faculty with expertise in cybersecurity to support growing needs in the software engineering, computer science, and computer engineering programs.  The applicant would be responsible for teaching required courses in information security, network security, or DevSecOps as well as topical electives in areas such as digital forensics, cryptography, penetration testing, or ethical hacking.
 
Successful candidates must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience or a Master’s degree in a related field.  Candidates should have either research or industry expertise in at least one specialization area of cybersecurity. 
 
Candidates must also demonstrate a passion for teaching and willingness to continuously improve their capabilities as an instructor. They must also be prepared to assess and grade student skill acquisition through formative and cumulative assessments. Courses at MSOE are taught primarily in person, so the candidate must be available to teach on campus at least two days a week, either during the day or in the evening.  Adjunct faculty can teach as little as one course per year or as much as 3 courses per term depending on the desire of the candidate and the needs of the department.
