Job Description

Please note: The District Operations Specialist role will support Syngenta’s East Heartland region (Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin) from a remote location. Optimal support locations are in the Illinois and Iowa areas, but other locations will be considered based on candidate’s experience and qualifications.

To support that challenge, Syngenta’s Commercial team is currently seeking a District Operations Specialist to support the East Heartland Commercial Unit.

The District Operations Specialist will provide operational support to assigned District Sales teams in order to maximize time in the field for customer facing employees.

Accountabilities
  • Provide project coordination and support to assigned sales districts with events, meetings, preparation of reports, presentations and other material as needed.
  • Provide analytics and sales data support to assigned districts.
  • Provide excellent customer service and on-going Salesforce.com training to field sales teams in the assigned geography.
  • Assist with onboarding new field personnel with systems, procedures and ways of working and assists with training plans and implementation.
  • Act as primary liaison between operations and field sales teams as it pertains to creating, implementing, maintaining and training on business processes and system platforms.   
  • Lead and identify workstreams to improve business processes.
  • Ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency for assigned sales districts.
  • Provide operational support to overall CU and/or field sales with general office administration such as invoicing and budget tracking as needed.
  • Provide Adhoc administration and project management as needed.

Qualifications
 
  • A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required; A Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
  • Up to 20% travel may be required including some overnight travel.
  • All applicants must be able to work in the US without sponsorship from Syngenta.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an operational and/or customer service role
  • Attention to detail, exceptional organization, time management and prioritization skills are essential for this position.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with key stakeholders within and outside of the Commercial Unit to achieve CU objectives. 
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
