Position: Business Development Manager

Reports to: North American Sales Manager

General Overview: As a Business Development Manager, this role is responsible for managing our existing customers, as well as prospecting for new customers in the designated territory. This candidate must be strong in time management, creative thinking, and achievement of company goals.

Responsibilities and Duties Include and Not Limited to:
  • Maintain customer relations at all levels of customer organizations, including frequent on-site visits
  • Prepare and review Brake Analysis Proposals with the assistance of Hayes’ Application Engineers.
  • Cultivate relationships and work directly with customer’s internal teams on specifications and final vehicle and sub-system performance acceptance criteria
  • Expand customer base by contacting and working with new/ potential customers
  • Coordinate internal resources (engineering and program management) to provide quotes and track project implementation

Required Skills:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred or alternate technical experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years manufacturing sales experience servicing multiple market segments
  • An understanding of mobile equipment, brakes or chassis components
  • Travel: 25%- 30%
