Summary of Responsibilities:Bring your positive energy to ATC! We're looking for a Transmission Planning Engineer to be part of our collaborative team that assesses the present and future needs of the electrical grid. As part of our team, you'll use electrical system models to determine the best approaches to helping the industry transition from reliance on traditional forms of generation to clean renewable resources, energy storage, and other types of emerging technologies.
ATC employees enjoy flexible schedules and ATC is recognized as an industry leader in adopting new technologies and types of reliability analysis, such as electromagnetic transient analysis, to assure the reliable transition to sustainable resources. You'll use your bachelor's or advanced degree in electrical engineering (or related degree) and/or experience in transmission system planning to help new resources and loads connect to the system by coordinating with interconnection customers, validating modeling data, forecasting transmission system issues, and collaborating on solutions to optimize transmission system reliability and efficiency.
ATC embraces flexibility in our work and our workplace. You are able to choose to work at home, or our offices in Cottage Grove, De Pere or Pewaukee, Wis. or Kingsford, Mich., depending on your schedule for the day and the needs of the business.
If you are looking for a position that makes a difference by keeping the lights on and helping with the transition to a sustainable energy future, join a team that's been named to the Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel's Top Workplaces list for the past several years and has been certified as a Great Place to Work!
