Provide technical, clerical and academic support to teachers, staff, and students. Assist students to achieve their educational goals. Install, update, troubleshoot and maintain computers, software and printers in the classroom. These duties and responsibilities involve varying degrees of complexity and confidentiality.
1. Serve as a point of contact for students and assist students in accessing, using, navigating and understanding a variety of computer software and applications related to education needs, finding educational resources, completing academic assignments, and academic testing. Provide support to teachers and other staff members as it relates to students.
2. Register students, run reports, and enter test scores using College information system. Maintain student files.
3. Assist students with finding other resources around campus or in the community to support their retention and transition to post-secondary education.
4. Participate in committees, on teams or sub-teams and/or meetings that include technology and/or administrative support.
5. Provide reception support i.e. answer and screen telephone calls, greet and interact with staff, students, community members, and public school counselors; respond to general inquiries and requests, as needed.
6. Maintain current professional and technical knowledge in the field through professional education and activities. Learn new software and teach others how to use it, as appropriate.
7. Participate in and contribute to assignments and special projects of a similar nature and level.

This position is a casual position working up to 14/hours per week. Position is not eligible for benefits.
Hours
Hours are Monday through Thursday, and may work up to two nights a week. 5:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
