Position Overview:
Hayes is looking for a result-driven Accounts Receivable Specialist to assist with daily customer invoicing and  prompt collection of receivables  on behalf of the company.
The successful Accounts Receivable Specialist should possess strong attention to detail skills and ensure the accuracy of the invoicing process. This individual will assist in ensuring that customers pay their accounts on time to effectively strengthen the company’s financial position.
Responsibilities:

• Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Responsible for daily invoicing, credit and debit memo processing according to company practices.
• Maintains and updates customer files in ERP System.
• Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent account holders to request payment.
• Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and other cross functional team members. 
•  Reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic monthly basis.
•  Generate monthly customer statements

• Assist in the collection and retention of customer sales tax exemption certificates
• Relays changes of customer information to appropriate cross functional team members.
• Performs other related duties such as assistance in audits and other projects.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
• At least two years of related experience required.
• The ability to work accurately and independently.
•  ERP software experience with knowledge of Syteline ERP software a plus
• MS Office experience with strong MS Excel skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented with excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent report writing skills.
• Strong time management skills.
