Job Description
The MARS Returnship program is seeking a technology coach/trainer, who share our passion for teaching and coaching others! We are looking for someone who is interested in developing hands-on projects and coaching/teaching web development to program participants who we are reskilling/upskilling. This is a part-time, contract role.
The focus of this role is to ensure hands-on applied learning through projects is provided to Returnship program participants. To effectively prepare Returnship participants for a return to their career in technology, we give them hands on experience planning, designing, implementing, and delivering infrastructure and projects. The technology lead role is measured by outcome-based delivery of 1) infrastructure, standards, and processes and 2) projects delivered by participants.
Responsibilities
Establish/update end-to-end AWS based training environments. These environments are hosted on AWS and include (or will include) capabilities such as: Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Linux shell scripting, Ansible, Terraform, Java development, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, SQL or NoSQL, and GitLab.
Based on high level guidance, create and define project roadmaps for hands on experiences for program participants.
Based on detailed product roadmaps, direct creation of user stories, and work with the team on estimation and assignment to program participants.
Provide oversight and guidance to learners daily on assigned projects. Work in an agile delivery environment.
Establish and maintain project standards, guidelines, and documentation repositories.
Perform active reviews and provide feedback to learners on their project deliverables.
