MIG Welder – 1st shift or 2nd shift

ABOUT OUR COMPANY:

We are a privately-held independent metal fabrication company that produces components used in a wide range of industries. Our goal is to provide products and services that meet our customers’ needs in a timely fashion with the highest level of quality and value.

Our capabilities are constantly expanding and currently include metal stamping, laser cutting, brake forming, tubular stamped components, CNC and Swiss machined parts, wire forms, thread rolling, weldments, and integrated assemblies. Our modern facility includes a complete in-house tool and die department and fastener distributorship.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Welder will perform the daily set-up and fabricate/weld (MIG) weldments in a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum, utilizing blue prints for set-up and inspection of parts to ensure customer specifications are met.

1st shift: Monday through Friday 7am-3pm
2nd Shift: Monday through Thursday 3pm-1am

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Set-up, lay-out, tack-up and weld sheet metal in constructing customer parts and components
  • Tack and/or weld metal parts together using MIG welding
  • Safely apply welds per specifications to produce completed product
  • Monitors the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material
  • Capable of porosity-free MIG welding

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
  • 2+ years of MIG welding experience
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Ability to set-up jobs from prints
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attendance
  • Positive, “can do” attitude

THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRED:
  • A certificate from college or technical school is a plus
  • Robot welding experience
