Overview
Canon Americas' industrial products division is looking for an Account Representative.

Initially, you will need to understand Canon's full suite of industrial products, particularly Lithography equipment. The ideal candidate will begin their training process learning product knowledge, business operations and strategies.

You will be challenged with developing the skills necessary to effectively communicate with customers and Canon teams in USA and Japan.

We will educate you in the navigation of Canon's varied management and internal resource channels, and assist as you learn to develop the strategies necessary to manage and grow accounts.

You will further develop and utilize your strong time management skills to provide consistent accessibility, service, and maximum visibility to both existing and potential customers.

Our goal is to train you to become an effective Account Representative whose ultimate objective will be to establish relationships and increase market-share.

This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Mondays and Wednesday* and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies for promotion and sale of lithography equipment within assigned territory to grow customer base, achieve budget and business growth targets working with supervisors.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with the customer at the relevant levels in the purchasing and engineering organizations.
- Offer consultancy to customers to better understand customer requirements and provide solutions. Work closely with sales supervisors, service and engineering teams in US, Japan, and other global locations to prepare solutions for customer.
- Manage each stage of lithography-equipment purchase from beginning to end working with supervisors. Coordinate with customer as well as external and internal teams to ensure orderly and timely order processing, equipment production, shipment and equipment installation.
- Negotiate commercial and product specifications and close deals by reaching agreements with mutual satisfaction to Customers and Canon working with supervisors.
- Complete all required administrative duties, such as daily and weekly reports to internal team members, maintain follow up items, and satisfy other documentation needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in technical, business, and/or marketing discipline is highly preferred with 3-5 years of related sales experience.
- B2B sales/business development experience preferred.
- Mindset to communicate with customers closely for business development and build close relationship with customers
- Entrepreneurial mindset to identify and develop new business opportunities
- Proficiency in Japanese language (speak, write, read) preferred
- Job may require travel in the US 2-4 times in one month (occasionally to Japan)
