The Athletics Information Technology Support Specialist is responsible for a range of support activities with a particular focus on delivering a high level of service and support. This position is end-user facing and requires in depth knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems, mobile devices, and common desktop applications. The position will occasionally require providing support for athletic events, which are scheduled after regular business hours and on the weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, a related field, or equivalent experience
Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the qualifications listed above.
Three years of experience in an end-user facing technology support role including demonstrated ability to deploy and maintain desktop, laptop, mobile device, network, and server-based systems and applications to include but not limited to Windows, Mac OS, iOS and Android based operating systems
Service oriented and end-user centric mindset focused on providing exceptional support
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with connected audio/visual systems and venue technology including digital signage, interactive displays, and presentation systems
Experience working with physical security and access control solutions
Experience working with wireless networking technology
Experience administering server operating systems including Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019
Experience administering common hypervisors and virtualization technology
Basic knowledge of industry standard cybersecurity practices
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge and support of Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems
Knowledge and support of Microsoft Server Operating Systems
Knowledge and support of Microsoft Office 365
Knowledge and support of SSO security practices
Knowledge and support of Microsoft Azure
Knowledge and support of MacOs
Knowledge and experience with mobile device support
Knowledge and experience with patching and desktop management solutions, for example Microsoft SCCM, Jamf
Knowledge and experience with audio and visual hardware
Customer service skills
Analysis and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work some nights and weekends as required based on scheduling of athletic events
