ABOUT THE TEAM:

FIS is looking for an DevOps CI/CD Architect to join our IST Development team in Toronto, Canada. Other US-based FIS locations may also be considered. This position will work with our Application Architect and developers to move our development and delivery process to a new CI/CD model in line with the strategy to move applications to cloud environments and support the CI/CD process moving forward

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?

Defining and implementing a new DevOps CI/CD strategy for the group as we move to a cloud based solution with agile development. Supporting and improving the CI/CD process as the product and development team mature in the cloud

  • Develop and improve CI/CD process in Jenkins
  • Support development, service delivery and implementation teams that adopt DevOps pipelines
  • Integrate security scans into the CI processes
  • Develop and maintain deployment automations
  • Work with development and QA teams on design and integrate efforts into the DevOps pipeline
  • Migration and management of source in bitbucket
  • Script interfaces and integration between SDLC tools including JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, AKS, OpenShift, using REST and other available integration interfaces
  • Create and support advanced Docker files
  • Implement deployments to Microsoft AKS and OpenShift Container Platform.
  • Troubleshoot containerized builds and deployments
  • Assist team onboarding IST applications onto the AKS and OpenShift,
  • Participate in the design of automation architecture for cloud delivery in Azure and AWS
  • Collaborate with software engineers to understand their requirements and assist them consuming CI/CD infrastructure tools
  • Make independent design and architectural decisions without supervision
  • Proactively identify, mitigate and resolve technical risks and issues
  • Interface with stakeholders at several levels, from executive management to technical staff, to provide advanced technical leadership and to report status on ongoing initiatives

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Experience in designing and driving the implementation of commercial enterprise-class software, using CI/CD principles and DevOps methodologies
  • Experience with implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
  • Work experience with container and container management technologies OpenShift, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Atlassian Suite : JIRA/Bitbucket and Version/Artifact control systems: Git/Artifactory
  • Experience with Terraform, Hasihcorp tools (packer)
  • Experience in Java based application development, deployment and maven dependencies
  • Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles like Agile and SAFe
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills
  • May require in-depth knowledge of networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management and related infrastructure technologies and practices

  • RHEL experience
  • Linux admin skill (yum/rpm, tar, rsync, mount, journalctl, systemctl)
  • proficient in shell (e.g. sh, bash) scripting
