Milwaukee area commercial general contractor is in need of an Accounting Administrative Assistant to handle all functions relating to accounts payable. This position will report to the Controller and duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: New Projects:
Coordinate vendor setup upon receipt of subcontracts, add subcontracts to the accounting checklist, create waivers to be sent with subcontracts, create billing policy to be sent with subcontracts. Ongoing:
Enter invoices to A/P, review accompanying lien waiver or obtain one if missing, process general and administrative invoices, obtain supplier waivers from subcontractors, data entry of general accounts payable and expense reports, assist job cost accountants as needed with the monthly billing process. General Accounting:
Accounts payable file maintenance, check preparation and distribution, maintain W-9 records, assist with sales tax returns. Other/Miscellaneous:
Assist VP of Finance and Controller as required with special projects and coordinate with other accounting administrative personnel to assist with phone/reception duties as necessary. This candidate will be proficient with Microsoft Office Products including but not limited to Excel, Outlook and Word and detail oriented. Construction or Manufacturing background is a plus!
