We are seeking a Registered Nurse:

  • Join a team of REMARKABLE nurses that use compassion and teamwork to care for their inspiring patients.
  • B6/6 is a 39-bed unit with nurse driven collaboration providing care to acutely ill patients varying in age and diagnosis, including end of life care.
  • Nurses are able to connect and form therapeutic relationships with patients.
  • You'll be actively involved in cutting edge, evidence-based therapies and research studies to improve patient outcomes.
  • Nurses are encouraged and supported to participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change.
  • Participate in a teaching and learning culture: always seeking out the "why" to understand both problems and solutions.

Education:
Preferred - Baccalaureate degree in nursing.

Work Experience:
Minimum - One (1) year relevant clinical experience.
Preferred - Recent Oncology experience.

Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin. CPR certification
Preferred - Chemotherapy certification.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge regarding quality improvement and standards of care within practice area.
  • Experience in teaching patients and families.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively delegate and supervise the work of other nursing team members.
  • Based on unit needs, additional knowledge, skills and abilities may be required or preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule:
This is a part-time, 80% FTE position scheduled to work 32 hours per week. The scheduled shifts are during evening and night, 15-2330, 19-0730, and 23-0730. Weekend and holiday rotation is required. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
