The Norris residential program is growing!  We are searching for the right individual to serve as Therapist at our Mukwonago campus.  Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Group Care, the Therapist is responsible to provide individual, group, and family involved care and therapies. All functions and services provided by the Therapist promote the Norris mission and philosophy for providing services utilizing a trauma-informed approach. Clinical services should be sensitive to cultural and ethnic diversity of each individual youth. 

As a 24/7 treatment program, the Therapist position requires the individual to work a flexible schedule in order to support the needs of the campus and the program. This includes participating in a rotating schedule to support nights, weekends, and holidays.  Experience and/or knowledge in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) are preferred.  

State of Wisconsin licensure or an active training license is required; Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or similar licensure preferred. 

Essential Functions Include:   

  • Collaboration with other members of the Norris treatment team, all other program areas, including the Norris Academy as well as placing agencies.
  • Provides individual, group and family therapy based on the target needs identified in the Initial Assessment and Personalized Treatment Plan.
  • Timely documentation that meets or exceeds all licensing and best practice standards.
  • Participates in all necessary clinical staffings, team meetings, court hearings, etc. as a Norris representative.
  • Responsible for aftercare planning as well as continued services to the youth and family following the youth transitioning from Norris.
  • Facilitates psycho-educational groups based on the needs and treatment plans of the youth.

Special Notes/Instructions
A successful caregiver check, physical exam with TB skin test and drug screen are post offer requirements. A valid WI driver license is required along with eligibility to transport youth in Norris vehicles or in your personal vehicle.
