Norris is currently seeking individuals to fulfill the role of Youth Care Specialist in our Residential Program at our West Bend campus.   Under the supervision of the Milieu Supervisor, the Youth Care Specialist (YCS) is primarily responsible for the care and supervision of youth at the West Bend Campus during first shift hours (first shift is generally 6:30am - 2:30pm), in all facets of their daily lives, including their safety, well-being, emotional and educational needs. The YCS acts in collaboration with other team members to provide direct care, meal planning/preparing, serves as a youth advocate, ensures effective engagement & supervision, transportation, behavior management, medication administration, recreation and other therapeutic individual and group services to youth in a structured setting.  Services provided promote the Norris mission and practice philosophy for providing mental health treatment and services utilizing a trauma informed care approach. The YCS is also responsible for implementing assigned treatment services, maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring the daily routine of programs are upheld. The YCS position requires the individual to work a flexible schedule that is subject to change to meet the program’s evolving needs at any time, and includes weekends and/or holidays.   

An Associates or Bachelors degree in a social or behavioral science is preferred.  Will consider experience in a related field and/or experience in a recognized treatment setting.

Special Notes/Instructions
A successful caregiver background check, physical exam with TB and drug test and a valid WI driver license are requirements of the position. Eligibility to operate Norris vehicles preferred.
