Job Description

Ellsworth, an industry leading global distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment, currently has a Customer Service Representative opportunity at Ellsworth Adhesives, located in Germantown, WI. 

This position is responsible for building and maintaining daily relationships with accounts, entering orders and quotes, developing new customers, following up sales leads and providing customer service. Customer Service Reps generate business and interest in Ellsworth Adhesives from new and existing customers through relationship building. This position may work closely with Tech Service on opportunities requiring technical assistance. The overall direction for this position will come from an Inside Sales Manager.  The overall direction for the department comes from the Inside Sales Director.  

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience of related industrial experience, preferably from a custom adhesive, chemical, coatings/paint, pharmaceutical/food manufacturing or packaging/dispensing environment
  • Associates degree (college or technical) in a related field of study
  • Proficient on a personal computer and have knowledge of ERP Systems, Contract Management Systems, Database Software, Distribution Systems, Internet Software, Inventory Software, Order Processing Systems, Spreadsheet Software and Word Processing Software and external portals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer contracts, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communication with external customers and prospects (via telephone, in-person, e-mail or live chat)
  • Communication with internal partners and departments (Tech Team, Sales Management, Purchasing Team, Accounting, Distribution Center Team, etc.) via telephone, in-person, e-mail or live chat
  • Analyze and take action on Customer Requests, performing all contract review
  • Analyze and Interpret Electronic Software Platforms, Reports and Portals
  • Inside Sales Business Development, analyze customer account sales and gross profit growth trends utilizing in house tools
  • Knowledge and Resource Organization
  • Multi-Task Management – manage and shift multiple daily priorities
