Job Description

What you will do
He/she will lead the Johnstone Supply Regional Account Manager team. You will develop the annual growth strategy to include organic, share of wallet (SOW) and new growth within the Johnstone Supply network across the U.S., along with driving the channel to focus on all segments of the HVAC industry.

The successful candidate will coach, guide and develop the team to become trusted advisors to their key and target accounts, leveraging strategic account planning and management disciplines.

How you will do it

  • Meet or exceed annual operating plan as defined for Residential and Commercial sales, with a focus on the independent distribution national account Johnstone Supply.
  • Support account management philosophies throughout the regions and reinforce that potential customers are segmented as defined by account management and expansion.
  • Analyze the market and current business performance, and develop sales strategies consistent with the Ducted Systems (DS) mission and objectives.
  • Grow SOW with existing Johnstone Supply owner groups across the Johnson Controls (JCI) portfolio.
  • Manage and support Johnstone Supply conversions from competitive brands, and assess potential expansion opportunities across existing owner groups.
  • Work with cross-functional DS individuals and teams to drive implementation and execution of products and programs in the channel.
  • Link Johnstone Supply objectives to product solutions delivering a total value offering that creates a competitive advantage.
  • Differentiate and leverage JCI product offerings from competitors based on the total benefit of doing business with Johnson Controls.
  • Serve as a clearinghouse for Residential and Commercial product requirements, and communicate those needs to the engineering groups for consideration in the development process.
  • Active participation in appropriate industry forums, such as HARDI, to identify potential new channel partners.

Qualifications

What we look for
Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business or related field of study.
  • Minimum 10+ years in the HVAC industry to include the Residential and Commercial segment and national accounts sales, with demonstrated year over year growth.
  • Understanding of the current business environment including competition, purchasing and business trends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making ability.
  • Effective and professional communication and organization skills.
  • Excellent team and project management skills.
