Contract/Freelance Project Description
UST is looking for DevOps Engineer at Client location in US. DevOps Engineer will be responsible for software configuration management for our client's embedded FactoryTalk Analytics appliances. FactoryTalk Analytics appliances are developed in agile teams that are highly collaborative and innovative. The environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and requires a highly motivated individual with a passion for DevOps.
In this position you will design, develop, and maintain the software build process and associated tools. This will involve working with different teams around the world on multiple product lines using state of the art tools and processes. Responsibilities include collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
• Manages the DevOps pipeline for software builds.
• Maintains and updates build tools and scripts.
• Automates the build and test process and looks for ways to improve performance.
• Works with software developers to troubleshoot build failures.
• Develops and documents standard operating procedures and other supporting documentation.
• Provides work estimates and status reports as requested. Maintains adequate interaction to ensure assigned tasks are prioritized appropriately.
• Researches, considers, and explores new possibilities utilizing the latest technologies and standards.
• Effectively works with others through mutually supportive professional relationships, open and direct communications, honesty, and respect.

Qualifications
Education Requirements
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering
 
 Required Experience and Skills
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years in a software configuration management role
• Jenkins continuous integration server
• C++, C# and Java software build tools
• Fluent with Windows
• Continuous integration and delivery
• VMware virtualization products
o VMware vSphere
o VMware ESXi
o vCenter server
 
 Desired Experience and Skills
• Azure Cloud for CI/CD
• Test automation using protractor (jasmine framework) and selenium grid
• Artifactory software repository
• Git software repository
• Familiarity with static analysis
• Familiarity with scanning for security vulnerabilities in node modules
• Agile software development using Scrum or Kanban
