Position Description:
Please note, the following process below does not guarantee a rotation, but it is your best opportunity for placement.

This clinical preceptorship will partner nurse practitioner (NP) and physician assistant (PA) students with Medical College Physician (MCP) providers.

MCP is the adult multi-specialty practice of the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). Students will be required to follow the clinical schedule of their assigned preceptor and/or preceptor team.

Schedules will differ depending on the student saturation of the assigned clinical site.

NP & PA students will be expected to perform all aspects of patient care under the direct supervision of their assigned preceptor or preceptor team.

Students will have access to the patient electronic record and be expected to adhere to the HIPPA, safety, documentation and social media policies per Froedtert Health the MCW policies and procedures.

During the assigned clinical time students, may be asked to meet one-on-one with their preceptor and the MCP NP & PA Student Placement Coordinator.

After the clinical rotation is completed preceptors will be asked to evaluate the student's performance and the results may be used by the Medical College of Wisconsin Human Resources Talent Acquisition staff as a tool in the hiring process.

Position Requirements:
Must be actively enrolled in an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Master's Degree Program.
