Our client is looking to hire an experienced HR Director that has significant manufacturing industry and union experience. Ideal candidate has developed and built teams, comes to the table with extensive employee relations experience and has skills training leaders and improving cross team collaboration.

This role is both strategic and tactical.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, lead and develop the HR team to ensure HR strategy, programs and processes support a performance-based culture emphasizing continuous improvement, team-work and individual/team accountability.
  • Recommend and implement effective recruiting strategies 
  • Act as a business partner with senior leaders to develop and execute human resources initiatives that support business strategy and objectives.
  • Support the HR team and hiring managers to select, interview, and hire candidates.
  • Ensures onboarding process and new employee orientation set employees up for success 
  • Ensures training and development programs meet the needs of the organization
  •  Develops a strategy for organizational development to meet company growth, improve turnover, and ensure succession plans in key positions.
  • Employee Benefits planning 
  • Responsible for labor relations policies and practices
  • International Labor law duties
  • Support managers and leaders handling employee relations
  • Evaluate organizational productivity concerns
  • Oversee compensation and salary plans
  • Handle risk management
  • HRIS experience using UltiPro
  • Responsible for data driven decisions and improvements to HR programs and processes

Requirements

 

  • Ability to lead and manage. Minimum of 10 years of management experience. 
  • Proven strategic and leadership experience.
  • Professional demeanor and communication skills
  • Proven work history and success.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Manufacturing industry, union and International experience.
  • Less than 15% travel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources or equivalent experience is required. Master’s degree is a plus.
