Job Description
* Enforces rules of play on the Softball field during games
Duties, Functions and Supervision/Accountability:
* Makes calls during games
* Provides communication to players

Minor Duties/Responsibilities
* Respond to player questions and concerns
* Maintains a safe playing environment
* Complete required reports and records
* Notify coordinator of problems and concerns regarding facilities, players, and/or spectators
* Notify coordinator of needed supplies and equipment

Supervision/Accountability
* Reports to Recreation Sports Coordinator and/or Recreation Manager

Qualifications:
Knowledge
* Knowledge of designated sport and department rules
* Knowledge of standard safety practices
* Department policies and procedures

Skill/Ability
* Must be 18 years of age or older
* Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Department personnel
and the public, and to deal with them in a courteous and tactful manner
* Strong oral communication skills
* Ability to supervise and maintain control of the games

Seasonal-April - September

Work Schedule
Varies with number of teams, Wednesday and/or Thursday evenings, 6-10pm

* Outside work with exposure to the weather
* Noisy environment
