What Does a SA Pricing Specialist at Airgas Do?
The Strategic Accounts (SA) Pricing Specialist is responsible for assisting national Sales Leaders execute approved national price strategy after a Strategic Account agreement is implemented. The Pricing Specialist, in conjunction with the SA Pricing Analyst, generates ongoing pricing analytics and timely accurate information in order to support assigned Strategic Account, market segment, product and customer pricing objectives.
What You Can Look Forward To:
Promote adoption of best practices in price management that are in alignment with Strategic Account profitability goals
Provide pricing support and profitability reporting for Strategic Account Market Segments, Strategic Account customers, as well as other miscellaneous major pricing and profitability initiatives. Summarize and present key findings to internal stakeholders to facilitate the development of new strategies and/or tactics to improve profitability
Perform pricing, tagging, and partnership audits ahead of annual price adjustments (PRD Previews), providing sales support specialists and the sales field guidance for optimizing profitability and contract compliance
Compile mass price review documents (PRDs, GPO price books, etc.) & supplemental reporting (impact analysis, lost rent revenue, etc.) to execute contractual increases for assigned portfolio of customers, working closely with pricing & profitability teammates, market segment pricing analyst, market segment support and data integrity teams to ensure proper and timely implementation
Review & submit national price maintenance requests for assigned customers, providing guidance on pricing strategy and suggesting available options that will best meet requestor's needs and those of Airgas'
Execute price strategy for CAP & Wholesale accounts, acting as Price Owner in SAP & PROS on behalf of the assigned national sales leader for assigned accounts
Initiate and document customer notifications for price adjustments & force majeure events
Coordinate & manage the customer rebate calculation, reconciliation & payment process
What You'll Bring to the Team:

Relevant Microsoft Office experience, with an emphasis on advanced skills in Excel required
2-3 years inside sales, customer service or relevant Airgas/industry experience preferred, with knowledge of industrial, medical and specialty gases, welding and safety products a plus
Robust SAP navigation, Business Warehouse &/or PROS or other pricing software experience a plus
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
Ability to interact with and take direction from all levels of the Strategic Account team including management, the sales field and other members of the SA Business Management Team.
Organized, self-motivated, proactive individual that is comfortable working both independently and as a team member
Capable of managing multiple projects under time constraints in a dynamic environment
