Resident Assistant- Highland House Waterloo 2nd shift (.6FTE) (7471-1646)
The Resident Assistant is responsible for assistingthe elderly with their daily living routines which can include dressing; skin,nail and hair care; oral hygiene; bathing; toileting; simple exercise;medication monitoring and administration under general supervision of a RN.Other general duties can include housekeeping duties in resident rooms, commonareas, and restrooms; launder clothing for residents as needed; organize,coordinate and participate in planned activities including meals; performdietary duties including preparation of meals and snacks, dining room set-upand clean up; document resident activity daily.
Minimum high school education or equivalent, required.
Up to 6 months technical or on the job training toacquire required certification.
CBRF Client Related Certification (advanced age/dementia)or Current Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant within 6 months of employment.
CBRF Standard Precautions, Fire Safety Training, FirstAid and Choking Certification within 90 days of employment.
CBRFMedication Administration and Dietary Training Certification within 6 months ofemployment.
Experience inhealthcare setting or certified nursing assistant, preferred.
