To repair, maintain, overhaul andtroubleshoot airframes, engine systems, parts and components. Performs 100 hourand progressive inspections as well as modification work on customer aircraft.
Performsa variety of mechanical duties on various aircraft models involving diagnosisof malfunctions and required disassembly, rework, repair, replacement,reassembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems to prepare aircraft for flightand delivery to customer.
Performsturbine engine troubleshooting, inspection, repair and engine run-ups.
Conductsairframe system, component changes and systems checkout.
Performsinstallation of service bulletins and kits on airframes and engines.
Requiresknowledge of 100 hour, annual and progressive inspection procedures set forthin FAR 43.
Usesequipment such as tensiometers, micrometers, pressure gauges, dial gauges,vacuum gauges, timing lights, and a variety of hand tools to repair or modifysystems or assemblies.
Responsibleonly for own work.
Mustbe able to obtain and maintain an Airport Security Badge through the localairport authority (if applicable).
High school education or equivalent required
A&P License is required
Requires use of arithmetic, blueprints, and specifications plusknowledge of jet and piston airframe and engine principles.
Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience with diversified jet,turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flightmaintenance or airframe sheet metal maintenance.
Preferredexperience in a customer service facility performing inspections and repair ofaircraft.
