Hello Everyone! 

We are searching for a Systems Support specialist! This is an entry-level position reporting directly to our Systems Administrator, Will Boucher. The ideal candidate will have some experience and will have strong familiarity with basic computer and networking systems. This is a fairly physical position requiring the need to handle some small power tools, climb ladders, and fit in cramped spaces. 

This is a salaried exempt position working 40+ hours/week including frequent nights, weekends, holidays and on call. 
A valid driver license is a must as this person will travel to and from the Milwaukee/Madison/Chicago area to resolve issues.
Also importantly, the ideal candidate is trustworthy, can work independently, and will possess clear communication and organizational skills.

POSITION SUMMARY
The systems support position is responsible for basic troubleshooting and general maintenance of technical systems.  This position will focus on physical maintenance of technical systems, reconfiguring existing installations, and deploying new hardware.  Systems Support will work closely with cafe locations to keep technical systems operating on a daily basis while providing upgrades for the future.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deploy, maintain, and support all Colectivo technical systems such as, but not limited to: point of sale hardware, computers, printers, and networks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and computer issues.
  • Respond to support calls by providing remote and onsite assistance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Physically organize and simplify network and computer hardware setups.
  • Create and maintain documentation of network and computer systems.
  • Organize and maintain an inventory of supplies and tools.
  • Support POS tasks: configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting functionality as well as resolving user issues and questions.
  • Installation of mounted hardware such as network racks, cameras, and point of sale devices.
  • Manage recycling and disposal of old hardware.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and lively tone that is inviting and encouraging to our customers and co-workers.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with Windows and other operating systems.
  • Some experience preferred with basic computer and networking systems.
  • Understanding of troubleshooting concepts.
  • Must have a valid Wisconsin driver's license and be willing to travel in the Milwaukee/Madison/Chicago area.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including occasional nights, weekends, holidays, and on call.
  • Basic capability of usage of hand and small power tools, ladders, etc.
  • Must be trustworthy, able to work independently, and possess clear communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong ambition and willingness to learn; technical aptitude.
